Grades 8-11 Intermediate Committee
The Prevention of Child Trafficking and Enslavement

Child trafficking, whether for labour, adoption, or other purposes, is a major concern for various justice and welfare agencies across the world. While efforts have been made to limit the number of trafficked children, they remain a highly vulnerable demographic, who are often targeted by traffickers, not only limiting their freedom, but subjecting them to years of mistreatment and abuse. UNICEF at IISP MUN 2024 will discuss the ways in which child trafficking infringes upon the rights of children, and work to develop policies and strategies to safeguard children and curb child trafficking.
