Ananya Ganesh is the President of IISP MUN 2024, and has been a member of the Secretariat since IISP MUN’s inception. Her responsibilities include managing the research and writing departments, overseeing the Press Corps, IISP MUN’s social media, and substantive. Through her leadership, IISP MUN was able to successfully launch its comprehensive magazine, Omnis, and newspaper, Athene.
Ananya has also participated in projects working towards a range of social causes. Her work in the CFR Project helped it receive the John “Mac” McQuown Award for Sustainability in 2022. She has also worked with the International Protect Our Planet Movement as a social media designer, and the Fete-a-Fete fundraiser at IISP as a project lead.
Ananya is a talented writer, who has been fond of writing from childhood. Her work has been selected for scholarships and anthologies, and she writes in a range of styles, from creative to academic and research-heavy. She was the founder and editor of IISP’s first-ever student magazine, Epiphany. Ananya is also a gifted graphic designer and has created unique graphics and designs for a range of projects, including IISP MUN.
In her free time, Ananya is an avid photographer and a voracious reader, who likes reading books from a variety of genres. She also loves her two dogs, and is very fond of travelling, having visited countries all across the world.
